Iwona Tybinkowska, PT

The Founder, Owner and Senior Physical Therapist of Rehab-Pro is Iwona Tybinkowska, licensed as a physical therapist (PT) by the State of New York. Iwona has been providing physical therapy treatment for her patients since 1982, when she graduated from the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, Poland, her home country.

physical therapist Iwona Tybinkowska Since coming to the United States 21 years ago, Iwona has held several PT-related positions, most notably as Director of Rehabilitation Services at the DOJ Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in the Bronx, where she managed rehab therapy services for 13 years, until January 2013. Iwona opened Rehab-Pro in Congers, in Rockland County, in 2007, and now devotes full time to her Rehab-Pro patients. In 2013, Iwona opened Rehab-Pro’s West Nyack location at the Russin Fitness and Wellness Center of the Rockland Jewish Community Center.

The secret to Iwona’s success, she says, is that she loves her work. “Every day, my work is different and challenging, because every patient is different. I take continuing education courses to remain up-to-date on the types of physical therapy that work best and on the newest treatments.” Among these, Iwona emphasizes her training in complete decongestive therapy; hip, knee, and ankle examination; and manual therapy intervention.

A long-time resident of Rockland County, Iwona lives in Pomona, NY, with her husband of 30 years, Chris; their daughter, Julia; and a Portuguese Water Dog named Szarik (which means “small ball” in Russian).
